Sotheby’s First Pop-up Art Show in Nova Scotia

On June 12th Sotheby’s clients were invited experience the art of Joanne Logan, a British landscape painter, at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada’s first Art Pop-up event in Nova Scotia.

There could not have been a more welcoming venue to highlight Joanne's art than the "Loreley", Chester Builders newest ocean view home, located in the private and scenic Shag End Estates.

Joanne studied textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University, graduating with a BA (Honours) in textile design and went on to teach art in high school. For many years Joanne ran a successful market garden in the Welsh Hills, selling her custom floral creations.

This exhibit showcased Joanne’s love for her garden and the ocean; both strongly influence her paintings. At her home in St. Margaret’s Bay, the sky meets the ocean with no beginning or end and is framed by her garden where, each spring she welcomes her flowers as they emerge from their long winter's slumber.

Joanne's paintings are a personal journey through the brilliant colours and sights of Nova Scotia’s summer, reknowned for warm waters, endless sun, and harmonious harvests of flowers and food.

Joanne, Katie Wilson-Day and Kari MacLeod, transformed 667 Shad Point Parkway into an art gallery for the evening and guests were delighted with Joanne’s art. There could not have been a better venue to host this event than in this light filled, ocean view home which captures the most stunning sunsets.

Stay tuned for details for Joanne’s next art show in the autumn. We look forward to welcoming you.
